In a certain place, there are two neighboring high schools: Chidori High, known for its rowdy boys, and Kikyo Girls' School, a prestigious institution for young ladies. This vibrant school story follows the lives of Rintaro Tsumugi, a quiet and tough second-year student at Chidori High, and Kaoruko Waguri, a student from Kikyo Girls' School. Their paths cross when Rintaro, helping out at his family's cake shop, meets Kaoruko, a customer. Despite feeling comfortable around her, Rintaro discovers that Kaoruko harbors a strong dislike for Chidori High.
